Sweatty is a partner-matching platform for sport. We're early. We're profitable on a tight runway. We hire people we'd happily train with at 7am. No commute, no open-plan office, no standups that should have been a Loom.

How we work

  • · Async-first. Two synchronous touchpoints a week, max. Everything else is written.
  • · UK + UAE timezones. Overlap of 4–5 hours daily. Hires outside these bands considered if the overlap still works.
  • · Ship in a week, not a quarter. If something can't be shipped in five working days, we're scoping it wrong.
  • · Founder pay, founder responsibility. Early hires take risk; they get equity that reflects it.
  • · No bullshit roles. If a job posting exists, it's because we're hiring for it now. No "talent pipeline" theatre.

Full-stack engineer

Astro + Node + mobile (React Native / Expo). Remote, UK or UAE timezone.

You'll own the matching engine end-to-end — web onboarding, the mobile app, and the API that joins them. Most of the codebase is plain JS/TS, Postgres, and small Cloudflare Workers. If you've shipped a real product before and prefer typing to meetings, you'll be fine.

Community + trust lead

Verification ops, report-handling, community standards. Remote, UK or UAE timezone.

You'll own the human side of safety — reviewing verification edge cases, triaging in-app reports, writing the policy documents that govern what gets a user suspended. Background in trust & safety, community ops, or content moderation at a marketplace. Calm under fire is non-negotiable.

Compensation

Salary band: [TBC — Jordan to confirm per-role band before role goes live].

Equity: early hires (first 5) get meaningful options — we'd rather pay less salary and share more upside than the other way around. Vest over four years, one-year cliff, standard.

What we ask in return: commitment to the launch window (Q2 2026) and a willingness to wear three hats at once until the team is bigger.
