- At least 1 year of coaching experience — formal or informal
- A clean background — we review all coach applications

The Application Process
Step 1: Create Your Coach Profile
Apply through the Sweatty app. You'll provide:
- Professional bio (up to 2,000 characters) — describe your approach, philosophy, and specialisations
- Certifications — upload photos of your certificates, specify issuing body and year
- Experience — years of coaching experience
- Specialisations — select from: yoga, HIIT, running, strength, swimming, cycling, boxing, and more
- Rates — set your hourly rate and optional group class rate
Step 2: Certification Verification
Our team verifies every certification within 48 hours. We check:
- The certification is current (not expired)
- The issuing body is recognised
- The certificate matches your identity
Step 3: ID Verification
Same three-step identity verification as all Sweatty users — government ID, live selfie, phone confirmation.
Step 4: Profile Review & Approval
Our team reviews your complete profile. Approval typically takes 24-48 hours after all documents are verified.
Once approved, your profile goes live on the coach marketplace immediately.
Setting Up for Success
Set Competitive Rates
Research your local market:
| Location | Average PT Rate | Recommended Sweatty Range |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai | AED 200-400/hr | AED 150-350/hr |
| Abu Dhabi | AED 180-350/hr | AED 140-300/hr |
| London | £40-80/hr | £35-70/hr |
Start at the lower end to build reviews, then increase as your rating grows.
Configure Your Availability
Set your weekly availability slots:
- Be specific — "Monday 6-9am, 5-8pm" works better than "Mondays"
- Include at least 3 different time slots per week
- Update regularly — stale availability frustrates potential clients
Write a Compelling Bio
Your bio is your sales pitch. Include:
- Your coaching philosophy (1-2 sentences)
- Your specialisation and who you help
- A notable achievement or qualification
- What makes sessions with you unique
Example: "Certified ACE trainer with 5 years specialising in HIIT and functional fitness. I help busy professionals in Dubai build sustainable training habits — no crash diets, no unrealistic schedules. Every session is adapted to your level, and I guarantee you'll leave feeling stronger than when you arrived."
Growing Your Client Base
Get Your First 5 Reviews
Your first 5 sessions are critical. Offer a slightly discounted introductory rate to attract initial clients. After each session, remind clients to leave a rating — coaches with 5+ reviews appear higher in search results.
Optimise for Discovery
Clients search by:
- Specialisation — make sure yours are accurate
- Rating — maintain 4.5+ stars
- Availability — more slots = more visibility
- Price — competitive rates attract more bookings
Offer Group Classes
Group classes multiply your earning potential. If your hourly rate is AED 200:
- 1:1 session = AED 200
- Group class (4 people × AED 80) = AED 320
Set your group rate lower per person than your 1:1 rate, and Sweatty handles the participant management.
The Business Side
Pricing
Sweatty charges 0% platform fee for your first 6 months. After that, a 15% commission applies per booking. This covers:
- Payment processing
- Client acquisition (marketing, search placement)
- Booking management
- Insurance and platform maintenance
Compared to gym PT rental fees (typically 30-50% of session revenue), Sweatty's model lets you keep significantly more.
Getting Paid
Payouts are processed weekly to your bank account. Track all earnings, session history, and client metrics in your coach dashboard.
Building Repeat Clients
The best coaches on Sweatty have a 70%+ rebooking rate. To achieve this:
- Remember client goals and reference them in sessions
- Send a brief post-session message with encouragement
- Suggest their next session before they leave
- Celebrate milestones (first 10 sessions, new PB, etc.)
